Building Mold Bases Like No One Else

Caco Pacific's mold base design and manufacturing technology is so respected that many of our customers come to see us just to buy mold bases as a separate product, with and without hot runner systems.

Mold plates are ground flat and parallel to .0002". For some applications, we have established standard mold base sizes for molding machine tie bar spacing in the 100-600 ton clamp range.

Wherever possible, each individual plate is machined from a solid block of pre-hardened stainless steel to ensure:

• Dimensional accuracy
• Mold ruggedness and stiffness
• Minimum deflection under high clamp tonnages and injection pressures
• Minimum maintenance
• Mold longevity.
